Just a few steps from the centre of the conservation hamlet of Quelven, you will find this beautifully renovated cottage set in lovely gardens with its own private swimming pool. The village of Guern is only four minute's drive, and a boulangerie, and small supermarket, and post office.  Quelven is a lovely historic hamlet with a huge pilgrimage church which is a Basilica, famous for its organ used for concerts during the Pontivy Music Festival, quite phenomenal for such a small village. There is also a Creperie and cafe where you can have pizzas within a few minute's walk.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and large dining table which can seat up to 12.  The washing machine is in the downstairs bathroom.

The lounge is comfortable and has a lovely wood burner and has a TV and DVD player hidden behind a large pine unit;  the lovely exposed stone walls are an added feature, along with the beams.

The downstairs bedroom is ensuite, with a walk in shower, toilet and sink.  This is ideal for those with mobility problems or those in a wheelchair. It has a double bed, wardrobe and plenty of floor space

Upstairs you will find three further bedrooms, each with wardrobes: one twin and two doubles.  Also there is a family bathroom with corner bath and walk-in massage shower. The house is centrally heated for off season bookings. Towels and bed linen are included, and cooking, cleaning and babysitting available at an additional cost.

Outside you will find the secluded pool (8 x 4 metres) with sun loungers; private garden (1200 sq m), terrace with barbecue, large table with parasol.  The pool house has a changing area, clothes drying area and there are four bicycles you can borrow.  Covered parking available

Situated 10km south west of Pontivy, 40km north of Vannes and 110km from Rennes, Quelven is ideally located in the heart of Brittany. It is a hamlet with ancient houses, a Creperie and a historic church. The village of Guern close by and has a boulangerie/general store. Supermarkets and wonderful food shops can be found in Pontivy which has a wide selection of local produce, restaurants and a weekly market. The property is within close proximity of a riding school, golf course (Golf du Rimaison) and the river Blavet where canoeing, boat trips, cycling & walking along the towpath can be enjoyed. The house is located 40 minutes drive from the beaches near Vannes & from Lac de Guerledan where a full range of water sports are available.  Beaches 50 minutes

Nantes 2h 30, or Dinard airport 1h30m and the nearest airport is Rennes 1h 20 by car. Ports of St Malo 1 hour 45 minutes, Roscoff 2 hours or Caen 4h 30. Use of a car is essential and car rental is widely available at all ports and airports. Budget flights to Rennes, Lorient, Dinard & Brest are now available.
