HOW TO BOOK YOUR BRITTANY HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION

By now you will have made your shortlist of choices.  We do keep our Brittany cottage availability up to date, so hopefully the first holiday home on your list will be available for you.  Do you have any questions?  Please feel free to email or phone - most emails during the day and evening are answered very quickly but of course this cannot always be the case! 

So you may either phone (if the voice mail answers, some of the message is in French, but don't worry, wait for the beep and leave your message - it probably means that we are busy talking to someone else; or email me and we'll email the booking form to you.

Then complete the holiday booking form; return it to us by email, arrange to send your 25% deposit + �20/26� booking fee per house booked (and we will tell you what and how to pay , when we send you the cottage booking form).  Hopefully you will find our holiday booking service quick and efficient.  If you are ready now, click here to request a holiday booking form by email - if the link doesn't work for you (sometimes if using a different email system) copy and paste [email protected] .

 Payment will either be by internet banking or cheque to our UK business account.  Please do not pay by cash, as this results in an extra bank fee.  We do not have debit/credit card facilities.

You will be asked to pay the full amount if your holiday starts within nine weeks along with the damages deposit.  This deposit will be refunded to you electronically after the holiday ends and we will request details of your account to enable this refund.  You will be asked to remind us to make this refund, it is not automatic. Anyone forgetting to reclaim don't worry, we do trawl the files at the end of the season to find any unclaimed refunds. 

      Most properties supply bed and kitchen linen within the price (please verify for yourself), but only a few supply personal towels.  We cater for 1-33 people.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Houses visited by SBC initially and are not inspected annually; therefore the information given is as found on that initial visit. Any changes after that time are the responsibility of the owner to inform us. All recommendations made will be based on initial knowledge, and the renter should verify all facts before reserving a property if they have any special or specific needs by asking SBC to contact the owner to verify.  

Please note that your rental contract will be between the individual property owner and yourself, with SBC acting as intermediary. SBC hold no legal responsibility for any of the houses on their website; renters accept this when returning the booking form.

The houses do not permit smoking inside and some offer a warm welcome to one dog free of charge as marked on the availability page. 

PAYMENT: We accept sterling and euros, at the bank exchange rate available when the payment falls due.   25% deposit required and balance due 9 weeks before holiday start date. Sterling: payment can be made by internet banking or cheque to our UK Lloyds business account (or by visiting your bank or any branch of our bank to make a debit card payment) Euros: payment can be made by internet banking or French cheque to our office. Sorry we do not have a  credit card facility.

For off-peak bookings, heating costs are NOT normally included in the rental, you should ascertain this before booking. Any charge for utilities will be charged at cost, as used. Unless otherwise priced, any week spanning two seasons will be treated on a pro-rata basis.

In some houses, the local government ask for a tourist tax to be paid.  This applies to adult visitors only and varies on where you are staying, but usually less than one euro per adult per day.  The owner will confirm this for you.
