This main cottage is set in its own grounds of 10 acres which offer open views, peace and tranquillity, being quiet but not isolated. The cottage was built in 1930 but it has been recently refurbished to a high standard.  There are two other cottages available. All cottages have Wi-Fi broadband connection and English satellite TV.

The northern perimeter is bounded by a small stream and the western perimeter by the River Blavet and the Nantes Brest canal. The banks of the canal are popular with  walkers, cyclists and fishermen. 

In The Cottage, there is a fully fitted, modern new kitchen with a Calor Gas cooker with four burners, oven and grill, microwave and a fridge with a small freezer section and dishwasher. The house is fully equipped with china, glasses, cooking utensils etc. 

The ground floor is open plan. The lounge area has a log burning stove, settee and arm chairs, with a colour television and DVD, also radio, cassette and CD player. 

The dining area has a large table with seating for up to ten. There is a washing machine and iron the out building behind the cottage.

On the first floor there is a newly fitted bathroom with toilet, washbasin and bath with integral shower. Water is heated by an electric water heater. There are three bedrooms; one has bunk beds, one has two single beds and the third a double bed. Each bedroom has wardrobes, chest of drawers etc. Duvets, blankets and pillows are provided. There are electric heaters in all of the upstairs rooms.

The Cottage has its own separate patio, with barbecue and garden furniture, also a parking area. There is a games room ( table tennis and pool tables ) which is shared with two other cottages.  There is a separate shared laundry room with washing machines used on a pay as you go basis, 4 euros per load (detergent provided)

Heated  swimming pool ( 11m x 4.20m ) Open May to September. Shared with owners and the two other cottages.

Other two cottages (Etable sleeps 5-6 - one double, one twin and one single with extra bed) and (Laiterie sleeps 4 in one double and one twin room) both have fully fitted modern kitchens with gas cookers, microwaves, fridges, dishwashers and irons.  Both have baths with showers over.  In each cottage there are original wooden beams, marvellous inglenook fireplaces with log burning stoves, settee, armchairs, DVD player with TV and CD player.  All outdoor facilities (pool etc, are shared between the three cottages)

Bike hire available on site 10€ per day per adult bike and  6€ per day per child bike. Helmets available. Pets permitted as long as they are friendly with the owners' two friendly dogs.

The hamlet is situated in the heart of the unspoilt countryside of Central Brittany, between the towns of Mûr de Bretagne and Pontivy. The hamlet itself is less than a mile from the main road and consists of two farms and a chapel. 

Pontivy

It is, however, only a five minute drive to the nearest shop and seven minutes to the town of Mûr de Bretagne which offers the usual range of shops and services. Only four miles away is the Lac de Guerlédan, a large, clean, freshwater lake with several safe sandy beaches, ideal for swimming, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing . It is possible to hire sailing boats and canoes at the Lake, also bicycles, as its wooded surroundings are excellent for both cycling and walking.

Should you wish to venture further, the rugged northern coast is under a two hour drive away; the resorts of Perros Guirec, St. Brieuc, Dinard and St. Malo as well as le Mont St. Michel being popular tourist destinations. The southern coast is slightly nearer; Lorient and Carnac with their golden sandy beaches and the historic town of Vannes are equally popular. To the east the county town of Rennes is also within easy reach as is to the west, Quimper and Concarneau. St. Samson is less than two hours by car from both Roscoff or St. Malo.
