This is a perfect family holiday home set within 1/2 an acre of gardens complete with children's play area, playroom and bicycles (2 adults & 2 childrens). Within 2.5 hours of Roscoff and St Malo. Just off the main road to the beach and close to the scenic riverside town of Pont-Aven, made famous by the artist Gaugin and well known today for connoisseurs of fine art galleries, wonderful sea food restaurants and riverboat trips.
The beautiful outside has exotic, palms, fir and spruce trees, evergreen and deciduous trees and as per the house name, Camelia as well as rhododendron and fern; and if you are there in autumn, the apple trees will be heavily laden. There is a large hard wood table and chairs and benches for your picnic lunches & BBQ, as well as sun loungers to laze in the sun. Also a child's swing set. It has a large open living space leading down to a modern well fully equipped kitchen which in turn leads through to a big storage and utility area. It has a washing machine and tumble drier in the basement. Clothes dryer, Dishwasher, Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer.
The open plan sitting/dining room with large table and seating for 10. TV for watching DVDs, and also a selection of books and games. A ground floor shower room, separate toilet and a children's play room with day bed. There are dual aspect patio doors leading to the garden from both the kitchen and the children's playroom. The front entrance to the house leads into the large sunny conservatory with comfy chairs overlooking the front garden and ideal to sit and read.
The first floor bedrooms consist of 1 Double and 2 Twin bedded rooms all with hanging space, then a bathroom with shower,
The snug is an appealing small sitting room with day bed. Bed linen is supplied but you will need your own towels. You are asked to either launder the bed linen at the end of your stay or leave some cash for the caretaker to do the necessary. There is a spacious basement if you wish to bring your own bikes, to use as storage. A well behaved dog is welcome but the owner must ensure no mess is left in the garden and the house must be thoroughly cleaned before leaving.

Kerfany Beach is only seven minutes drive from the house - a lovely sheltered bay with kid's playground and restaurants Area 7 minutes from a selection of sandy beaches, coastal walks, cycle tracks and Breton ports such as Moelan-sur-Mer, Port de Belon and Port Merrien. 20 minutes drive to the unspoilt towns of Quimperle and Kergroes. The house is just off the main road into the coastal town, so easy to access the local shops in a short drive. A 10 minutes walk to the Restaurant L'Arbretin specialising in French, Argentinean and Creole cuisine and 10 minutes cycle ride to the Boulangerie, Creperie and Pizzeria.
We (3 adults and 2 children) had a most enjoyable week, the cottage was comfortable and we much enjoyed the large and secluded garden. We were impressed by the level of equipment and the games all provided in good order. RB, London
