Les Archers is a tastefully
restored Breton longhouse with gite attached, providing the owners home and
accommodation for their very welcome guests. Situated in a two acres of
tranquil, picturesque landscaped gardens. It retains many of the original
features, whilst benefiting from modern fittings and appliances.
There are also facilities for
experienced archers or enthusiastic guests who may wish to be coached and
introduced to the sport, but it is not compulsory!
The G�te is adjoining the
main house and fitted to a good standard of accommodation.
On the ground floor is a
comfortable lounge with satellite TV. It is
traditionally furnished, with an additional double bed settee if an extra
bed is required. There is a wood burning stove and logs are provided from
October to March.
The kitchen is compact and
well equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine and there
is a separate dining room. Also on the ground floor is a shower room
and toilet.
On the first floor are
two double bedrooms (Cot or extra single bed available) and One twin
bedroom, all bedrooms are fully carpeted and have ample storage. There is
also a shower room, basin and wc.
Relax on
the garden furniture in the landscaped garden and use the barbecue.
The owners will do
their best to cater for the physically handicapped, contact us to discuss
your requirements.

away (10% reduction arranged for guests) . |

There is an archaeological
centre at Melrand, and approximately 10 kms south west at Poul-Fetan,
near Quistinic, you will find a thatched village depicting the way
life was like in rural mid 19th century Brittany. |

Further south the
beautiful beaches at Carnac, Larmor Plage and Plouhinic are
approximately an hour's drive away, and the worlds biggest collection
of megalithic standing stones are also situated at Carnac on the
coast. |
Location
The quiet village of Bieuzy Les
Eaux is 5 minutes drive down the road, providing basic commodities. A larger
supermarket is a little further away at Plum�liau for all your everyday
needs, and much larger shopping centres in Baud 15 minutes away and Pontivy,
about 20 minutes away.
The house is situated 4 kms from
the River Blavet town of St. Nicholas des Eaux, a charming riverside village
with bars, cafes and restaurants. The river is navigable to Pontivy where it
joins the Nantes to Brest canal, with relaxing boat trips or canoe hire for
the more energetic. For those who walk or cycle, the tow path can be
followed throughout its length, and if this is too energetic, the river has
the reputation as being one of the best fishing rivers, including salmon and
trout in France (permit required).
The historic medieval and
interesting town of Pontivy is only 12 kms away. A variety of shops,
restaurants, 4 screen cinema and a swimming pool can be found here. The town
also has a chateau and museums.

Archery
A field archery course is laid
out with 25 targets in the 7 acre private woodland adjacent to the property
for the more experienced archer. (Own archery equipment required). For
guests - free use of the archery facilities (Own equipment required)
Practice boss in large garden. National Field Archery coaches - instruction
and training equipment provided for guests who wish to "Have a Go" within
the garden. Adults & Children - 10 Euros per session ( Approx 1.5 hrs)
All juvenile archers must be
supervised by guardians at all times. No responsibility will be undertaken
by the owners for any accidents or damage to guests or their property.
