Two adjoining country cottages and one apartment north of Josselin

Sleeping 4, 4 and 2

Set in a tiny hamlet about 10 minutes north of Josselin, but close to Lanouée village which is less than a kilometre away, is where you will find these two charming ground floor cottages and the first floor apartment.  Many original features remain, like interior exposed stone and the owners have further kept that authenticity by buying antique Breton furniture, including the chunky Breton beds.

Outside there are ample shared sitting areas either in sun or shade; a large above ground swimming pool (7.3 x 3.7 metres and is 1.2m deep).  Also one of the owners is an artist and she will run workshops for individuals or groups, on demand at 30€ per session.  Some of her lovely work is exhibited below to show you the surrounding towns.  Also it is exhibited on the walls in the cottages. 

Gauguin Cottage Sleeps 2-4

This cottage has a large open plan lounge, kitchen diner.  The kitchen is fully equipped with full gas cooker, fridge etc.  There is one double bedroom at the back and a very comfortable bed settee in the lounge.  TV, DVD player and music player.  There is a shower room with wash basin and toilet. The house is centrally heated for off season cooler months.

Renoir Cottage Sleeps 4

This cottage has a large open plan lounge dining room with kitchen which has a full gas cooker and fridge.  The lounge has a comfortable settee and armchair in front of the log fire, which can be used off summer season.  TV, DVD player and Music centre.  One double room and one twin room with extra wide twin beds.  This cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility, because there is a ramp entrance, and a ramp to the bathroom, with easy access to the shower with integral seat.

Cézanne Apartment Sleeps 4

This is a first floor apartment, bright and airy, with open plan lounge, dining and kitchen with gas cooker and fridge.  It has two bedrooms, both doubles, making it more suitable for adults.  There is a TV, DVD player and music centre.  Shower room with toilet and wash basin.

 Outside there is ample covered parking in the hangar and shared patio areas with garden furniture for each lodging.  All linen and house towels provided, please bring own pool towels.  Welcome pack.

10 minute's walk will have you in the local village, which has the usual complement of village shops and a restaurant which opens during the daytime.  The village is just south of the huge forest of Lanouée which is the second biggest forest in Brittany.  At Ploërmel, there is a large lake with a beach, which has water sports and a golf course nearby.  Josselin is a marvellous market town, steeped in history and has a wonderful chateau with pepper pot towers, and the canal slowly flowing through the edge of the town under flowered bridges is an artist's dream....
