Village House near Pontivy
Sleeps 2 Kerfourn Village is 5 miles from the riverside town of Pontivy and 12 miles from the medieval town of Josselin. "Jean Cottage" is a beautifully renovated village house, which has retained original features such as the oak beams and wooden floors; the local boulangerie and bar are only a very short stroll away. The house has its own garden, courtyard and parking.
Shelleth is a recently renovated two storey cottage. It has a fully equipped kitchen with full size cooker and oven. Lounge and dining area with sofa, TV with DVD player for which a selection of films are available and a stereo.
Upstairs is an ensuite double bedroom. The ensuite has a thermo/massage shower, WC and hand basin. The gite has thermostatically controlled convector heaters. A washing machine is available for use. Three times a week, the owner offers you a fine four course meal, including wine for a very reasonable 18€ per head. This is something many guests have enjoyed and return for more!
Local Area Kerfourn is extremely quiet and has minimal but adequate local services - boulangerie, general store and two bars. Less than half a mile away there is a well stocked trout and coarse lake where you can fish all day for £2.50 and take as many trout as you like back to the cottage and cook them on the barbeque in the garden. Fishing tackle is available to borrow free. Also a selection of bikes are available which many guests find very useful. Pontivy - 5 miles - has restaurants, night clubs, shops, cinemas and swimming pool. Josselin - 12 miles - medieval town with an imposing Chateau. Beaches - the nearest beaches are about 35 minutes drive away. Carnac and Trinité-sur-Mer are less than an hour away. Key Benefits
