This detached cottage is only a five minute walk to the sea and 2kms to Port Louis' sandy beach.  Right on the doorstep of the village of Locmiquelic and a couple of minutes walk to the supermarket.  It is set in its own enclosed garden, so ideal for younger members of your family and has the use of an attached garage.

Downstairs you will find the kitchen, with full electric cooker, fridge freezer etc.  The lounge has a leather settee and dining table with TV and DVD player

There is a downstairs bedroom and also a bathroom and separate WC. So ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs.  Entrance to the garage which houses the washing machine and dryer and further door to the garden room with dining space and exit to the patio area and private gardens.

Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, one double room and one with bunk beds and through these windows there is a glimpse of the sea. Bed linen included, towels can be hired, or bring your own. End of stay clean available at 30€ payable locally, arranged in advance. Baby cot, highchair, pushchair and bath available on request.

Port Louis is 2kms from the house and is a typical French seaside port with numerous restaurants and local shops and a wonderful clean deep sandy beach.  This small town situated on the headland at the entrance to Lorient harbour has both a fishing port and a pleasure boat port. In the summer months this is a busy holiday resort and there are many interesting sites for the visitor to pursue. The most important being the wonderful double Citadel - a 16th century fortress which is in a state of perfect preservation and today houses the French East India Company Museum as well as the Boat Museum, and the Powder Factory .  Click for more info on the area
